Our work

Water is our priority. Around it, six ways of helping, with one principle: help with no consideration other than need.

Our main work

Water and sanitation

Mechanised boreholes, water towers, tap fountains, standpipes, latrines and management committees.

  • Since 2019, we have replaced traditional wells with mechanised boreholes drilled with a rig. Each borehole is connected to a water tower: water flows directly to tap fountains.
  • Families fill their containers faster and more easily.
  • Water sent drop by drop makes market gardens possible.
  • Facilities are simpler to use, so they last longer.
  • Example: five boreholes with a 5 m³ water tower in the Tonkpi region (WAT25-COT01, 2025), water tested before commissioning.

Construction

Mosques for villages with no place of prayer, schools, community latrines.

  • Many villages have neither a place of prayer nor latrines. Since 2021, most of our sites include building mosques and community latrines.
  • We also build schools where children have none nearby.

Health and medical emergencies

Care for people who are ill: operations, treatment and support when the family cannot afford it.

  • When someone falls seriously ill and the family cannot pay, we step in urgently: care, surgery, treatment.
  • Each case is studied carefully so that help reaches the right person.

  • Zakat al-Fitr: a collection at the end of Ramadan.
  • Tabaski Operation: buying cattle, sacrifice and distribution of the meat to families in need.
  • Example parcel: 25 kg of rice, 5 L of oil, milk, pasta, tea, dates, onions and potatoes, enough to feed a family of 6 for a month.
  • Latest distribution: 300 families in Anyama, on 8 September 2026 (ALI26-COT01).

Education and training

School kits at every back-to-school for children of disadvantaged families, sewing training.

  • At every back-to-school, we distribute school kits to children from disadvantaged families, so money is never the reason a child misses school.
  • We also train women and girls in sewing (hijab making) so they can earn their own income.

Support

Widows, orphans, elderly or disabled people, prisoners, disaster-hit families: we stay by their side.

  • We support widows and orphans, elderly or isolated people, people with disabilities, Muslim prisoners and disaster-hit families (landslides after heavy rain).
  • We also supply copies of the Qur’an to schools and mosques that lack them.
