No child should miss school for lack of a school bag
At every back-to-school, AS-CI distributes school kits to children from disadvantaged families, so money is never the reason a child misses school.

What is in a kit
Everything a child needs to start the year well.
- A school bag
- Notebooks
- Pens, pencils and supplies
- Writing and geometry equipment
The contents may vary with each school’s levels and needs.

How it works
We identify
With schools and local leaders, we find the children whose families cannot afford it.
We buy
Bags, notebooks and supplies are bought with the gifts received.
We hand over
Kits are given to families or schools, before or at the start of term.
We report
Photos and a summary are published, respecting children’s privacy.
How to take part
Give a kit
A gift equips one child for the whole school year.
Equip a class
Pool your gifts, with colleagues, friends or associations, to equip several children.
Donate supplies
Company or bookshop: you can offer notebooks, bags or supplies. Write to us.
Education is more than a school bag

Schools built
We build schools and Qur’anic schools where children have none nearby.

Libraries and Qur’ans
We equip schools and mosques with books and copies of the Qur’an.

Training to earn a living
We train women and girls in sewing so they can earn their own income.
A kit is a calm start to the school year
Give so that a child arrives in class with everything they need.
Respecting children
We never publish a close-up photo of a child without their parents’ written consent, nor lists with names.
