How it works
We collect
Gifts are gathered in the weeks before and during the month of Ramadan.
We identify
With local partners, we find the neediest families, regardless of ethnicity or religion.
We distribute
One ticket per family, a signed checklist, volunteers recognisable by their vests.
We report
Photos and a summary of each edition, published on the site.
Zakat al-Fitr
At the end of Ramadan, we collect Zakat al-Fitr and hand it to those entitled to it before the Eid prayer. Contact us for the current amount and how to give.
Years of Ramadan on the ground
- 2017
Fast-breaking kits for the widows of Koumassi, patients at Yopougon hospital, an orphanage and prisoners at the Agboville prison.
- 2019
Fourth edition: three sites visited, about 750 people fed, including orphans, prisoners and needy families in Abidjan.
- 2021
Under the name Caravan, AS-CI distributes food kits during Ramadan and outside this blessed month.
- 2024 and 2025
With the support of Sip Of Water (SOW), food kits are distributed with no distinction of ethnicity. In 2025, the organisation is strengthened and the distribution is extended to more vulnerable families.
