When a life is at stake, money must not decide

AS-CI steps in urgently for seriously ill people whose families cannot afford surgery, care or medicines.

Volunteers bring food to patients at a hospital

What we fund

  • Surgical operations
  • Care and hospital stays
  • Prescribed medicines
  • Tests and analyses
  • Transport to a care centre

Each case is studied carefully so that help reaches the right person at the right time.

How it works

  1. A request

The family, a relative, a community leader or a care facility contacts us.

  2. A checked file

We study the medical file, the prescription or the facility’s estimate.

  3. Care is paid for

Where possible, we pay the care facility or the pharmacy directly.

  4. Follow-up

We check in on the person and their family.

Request help

Write or call us and explain the situation. If you can, prepare: the prescription or estimate, the medical certificate or report, and a phone number to reach you.

These documents are handled confidentially and are never published.

Respecting patients

We never publish the name, face or story of a patient without their written consent, or their parents’ if a child.

A project: a rural dispensary

In some villages, the nearest health centre is hours away on foot, and pregnant women must travel kilometres on difficult tracks. We are working on a rural dispensary project to bring care closer to villagers.
